Chris’s Corner Episode #109 You’re Not Special But...
Sunday Nov 20, 2022
Sunday Nov 20, 2022
This week on Chris's Corner I speak about the divergence in how icons are present to people in today's society. In a time where human beings are being divided more and more, we seem to being prioritising the idolisation of both real and fictitious characters who are not heroes. For example, I talk about Patrick Bateman and Tyler Durden as the main features for villains with qualities that people look up to and appreciate more in society. This is not what we should all be looking for in people. Nor should social media be presenting these characters as cool or positive. But you can make a difference if you choose to look for the true heroes. The pointing being is this, in an infinite universe where you are merely a spot in the blanket of darkness, it is your responsibility, nae your obligation to be a true hero even if you are not special. Don't be problem, be the solution. As always, I hope you enjoy this week's podcast and I'll see you, this time, next week.

This week on Chris's Corner I present to you the viewer/listener a mini study I conducted on Tinder. The concept was simple, message 200 women on why they put their Instagram account tags in their tinder bio. A question that I dissect into three chunks, what was my original thoughts before conducting the search, the actual interactions, and what were my thoughts on the resulting interactions. People to me are fascinating and there isn't anything more funny and fascinating than how people interact on Instagram and dating applications. The results of this podcast are solely for entertainment purposes and no ones details or images were disclosed in this podcast. As always, I hope you enjoyed this week's podcast and I'll see you this time next week!

This week on Chris's Corner I speak on one of the funniest articles I've read in a while, this article said that the British Bake Off was racist for wearing sombreros and ponchos on Mexican week. I don't normally take the Micky Mouse out of people on the podcast, but this week was an exception. I also talk about some of the political history behind the current Russian Ukraine war and how there was another silly article published saying that the memes and social media support for Ukraine was winning them the war. I'm mean at what point do people verify these articles and go "Yeah this seems like it's ok to let the general public read". Anyway, This is the last podcast filmed in the Wiltshire setup so from now on the podcast will have a nice new look to it. As always I hope you enjoy this week's podcast and I hope to see you this time next week! This week on Chris's Corner I speak with Hudson and Brandon, also known as the Buff Dudes! These two legends have been providing fitness content since 2012 on YouTube. I've only been consuming said content since 2018. Nonetheless, they have had a great impact on my fitness journey and building a solid foundation for how to stay buff! This podcast is an imaginary conversation between the Buff Dudes and myself. This week on Chris's Corner I talk about the best group of YouTube channels in the world, the lofi community! As someone who recently started putting together lofi mixes, I personally have felt the love of the people of this community. In a place where the trolls of the world dwell, it is brilliant to see the flip side of the internet, where the light shines the brightest. As well as talking about the lofi community I also comment on the amazing return of Casey Neistat in New York City. I describe his return as a wave of nostalgia washing over the whole of YouTube and what that could mean for the platform. Finally, I provide you with a smattering of information on the financial collapse, Chelsea FC madness, and the new routine I'm planning for in my new apartment. As always I hope you enjoy this episode and I'll see you this time next week!

This week on Chris's Corner I speak about the utilisation of both running and weight lifting. For many these two types of training are never united. Much rather, they are perceived as negatives to one another. But, I'm here to clarify, that when combined, they are more like two sides of the same coin. Long cardio, whether it be running or another form, increases the cardiovascular capacity for the body allowing longer training sessions. While resistance training increases strength and muscle mass allowing the user to increase their metabolism. Once combined, well... you'll have to listen to see what happens. As always, I hope you enjoy this week's episode and I'll see you this time next week!

Chris’s Corner Episode #101 Has Amazon Sh*t on Tolkien’s Grave?
Monday Sep 05, 2022
Monday Sep 05, 2022
This week on Chris's Corner I tackle a range of topics, the main one being Amazon's new show The Rings of Power. As a huge Lord of The Rings nerd I felt it was a good opportunity for Amazon to expand Tolkien's universe with some interesting back story that could utilise some of the tales within the Silmarillion. With some of the negative feedback received from the first few trailers I think I expand on the positives as well as the possible negatives of the show. As well as The Rings of Power, I talk about the current situation within the housing market and my personal experience with finding a new apartment. Finished off with a smattering of financial literacy and the importance of your time. as always I hope you enjoy this week's podcast and I'll see you this time next week!

Monday Aug 22, 2022
Monday Aug 22, 2022
This week on Chris's Corner I speak with George Taylor my brother from another mother! To celebrate episode 100 I thought talking to a friend who's been there since the beginning would set the tone for the podcast. George and I speak about a range of topics from what RPG video games are worth playing, to lizard people ruling the USA, as well as quitting alcohol in order to focus on your goals. George is a light hearted and fun person to talk to who is taking leaps and bounds in his life, while at the same time providing me with some of his valued time to chat. I hope you enjoy this weeks podcast and as always I hope to see you this time next week!
